Your Garden in June Water hanging baskets daily and feed every two weeks with soluble feed. Sowing for this month; French beans, squash, sweet corn and courgettes, sow directly into beds. Herbs such as basil, coriander can be sown successionally every two weeks. Sow Salad leaves, radishes and perpetual spinach as above. Fast growing annuals like Calendula and Godetia can be sown directly into beds. Training. Tie in Sweet peas and edible peas to their supports. Tie in rambling Roses, Clematis, Wisteria and Honeysuckle. Support Lillies in pots as they can get very tall. Look out for the red Lily beetle! Mow lawns weekly, but if there is a drought leave longer in between cuts. Pruning. Remove all dead bulb foliage for a tidy garden. Trim back Geranium and Heuchera after flowering to encourage second flush of blooms. Prune Deutzia, Philadelphus, Kolwitzia , Forsythia and Weigela now they have flowered to ensure blooms next year. Trim evergreens to desired shape. Weeding regularly, especially in the vegetable plot.
